About CurioKid

A curious mind can change everything.

CurioKid is a young company in India making physical play kits that let children practise life skills. We started with one question: what does a child actually do while they play — and could that be practice for life?

The founder

Built by someone who likes things done carefully

CurioKid was founded by Sagar Choudhary, who spent about seven years as a Flight Engineer in the Indian Air Force — work where calm checks and careful decisions matter.

That habit shaped how CurioKid is built: talk to parents, watch children play, write down what goes wrong, and fix it before asking anyone to pay.

How we got here

From survey to stall

  1. Listening

A survey of 120 parents, then one-to-one interviews.

  2. Paper prototype

Let’s Design a Business! was played and tested by children.

  3. Version 2

Shorter steps, round numbers and bonus challenges — from what we saw.

  4. New name

Our brand grew into CurioKid, with a family of kits planned around six life skills.

What we saw in play testingWhat we changed
  • Long instructions — younger children got stuck.Every step is now three short lines and a picture.
  • The sums were hard for 7–8-year-olds.Round numbers only (₹5, ₹10, ₹20) and a ledger with boxes to fill.
  • Older children finished too fast.A bonus challenge card in every chapter.
